Floor Finish: Hard vs Soft

16 March 2017

Floor finishes come in a variety of flavors: high solids, low solids, hard, & soft. There are pro’s and con’s with each variation and it is important to match your product selection with your desired maintenance schedule/method. Harder finishes will resist scuffs and scratches better than softer finishes, but will be more difficult to restore. Whereas softer finishes scratch easier but require more frequent maintenance. Both products should be paired with a high speed maintenance program and a burnishing pad to match the type of machine and finish you are using.
